How the night works
Daytime is beach time — swim or snorkel off the designated stretch. After dinner, rangers stage the viewing: when a female is settled into laying (the point at which she won't abandon the nest), the group is called to watch in disciplined near-dark. Eggs go straight to the fenced hatchery; then comes the release — a bucket of hours-old hatchlings scrambling down the sand into the surf. Photography is tightly limited; the rules exist so the turtles keep coming.

Selingan features in the 2D1N Sandakan–Selingan package (RM1,550, continuing to a KRL/Menanggul cruise on day two) and the 4D3N circuit (RM2,880) with Sepilok and a Bilit river base. Chalets are simple twins with attached bathrooms; capacity caps mean peak dates sell out months out — this is the single most booking-sensitive component of any Sabah itinerary.
